Professor Haas received the PhD degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2001. He currently holds the Chair of Mobile Communications at the University of Edinburgh, and is founder and Chief Scientific Officer of pureLiFi Ltd. pureLiFi Ltd has more than 50 employees, and has operations in the U.S.A and Singapore. He is also the Director of the LiFi Research and Development Center at the University of Edinburgh. His main research interests are in optical wireless communications, hybrid optical wireless and RF communications, spatial modulation, and interference coordination in wireless networks. He first introduced and coined spatial modulation and LiFi. LiFi was listed among the 50 best inventions in TIME Magazine 2011.
Prof. Haas was an invited speaker at TED Global 2011, and his talk: "Wireless Data from Every Light Bulb" has been watched online more than 2.5 million times. He gave a second TED Global lecture in 2015 on the use of solar cells as LiFi data detectors and energy harvesters. This has been viewed online more than 2.0 million times. Professor Haas holds 43 patents and has more than 30 pending patent applications. He has published more than 400 conference and journal papers including a paper in Science. His Google Scholar h-index is 67, and his works have been cited more than 19,000 times. He has been on the Thomson Reuters list of highly cited Scientists, 2017. He co-authors a book entitled: "Principles of LED Light Communications Towards Networked Li-Fi" published with Cambridge University Press in 2015. Prof. Haas is editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technologies. He was co-recipient of recent best paper awards at VTC-Fall, 2013, VTC-Spring 2015, ICC 2016 and ICC 2017. He was co-recipient of the EURASIP Best Paper Award for the Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking in 2015, and co-recipient of the Jack Neubauer Memorial Award of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. Prof Haas has delivered 50 keynotes talks at international conferences and workshops. In 2012, he was the recipient of the prestigious Established Career Fellowship from the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) within Information and Communications Technology in the UK. Prof. Haas is recipient of the Tam Dalyell Prize 2013 awarded by the University of Edinburgh for excellence in engaging the public with science. In 2014, he was selected by EPSRC as one of ten RISE (Recognising Inspirational Scientists and Engineers) Leaders in the UK. In 2016, he received the outstanding achievement award from the International Solid State Lighting Alliance which was awarded to him by Prof. Shuji Nakamura. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) in 2017. In the same year he was elevated to IEEE Fellow.

Emilio Calvanese Strinati, CEA-LETI, Grenoble, France
Dr. Emilio Calvanese Strinati obtained his Engineering Master degree in 2001 from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and his Ph.D in Engineering Science in 2005 on Radio link control for improving the QoS of wireless packet transmission. He then started working at Motorola Labs in Paris in 2002. Then in 2006 he joint CEA/LETI as a research engineer. From 2007, he becomes a PhD supervisor. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Calvanese Strinati has been the co-chair of the wireless working group in GreenTouch Initiative which deals with design of future energy efficient communication networks. From 2011 to 2016 he was the Smart Devices & Telecommunications European collaborative strategic programs Director. Since December 2016 he is the Smart Devices & Telecommunications Scientific and Innovation Director. In December 2013 he has been elected as one of the five representative of academia and research center in the Net!Works 5G PPP ETP. He is currently one of the three moderators of the 5G future network expert group. Since 2016 he is the coordinator of the H2020 joint Europe and South Korea 5GCHAMPION project. Since 2018 he holds the French Research Director Habilitation (HDR).
E. Calvanese Strinati has published around 100 papers in international conferences, journals and books chapters, given more than 50 international invited talks and keynotes and is the main inventor or co-inventor of more than 60 patents. He has organized more than 50 international conferences, workshops, panels and special sessions on green communications, heterogeneous networks and cloud computing hosted in international conferences as IEEE GLOBCOM, IEEE PIMRC, IEEE WCNC, IEEE VTC, EuCnC, IFIP, and European Wireless.

Volker Jungnickel, Heinrich Hertz Institute, Berlin, Germany
Volker Jungnickel (M’99) received doctorate and habilitation degrees in physics from Humboldt University Berlin in 1995 and in communications engineering from Technical University Berlin in 2015, respectively. He joined Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin in 1997 where he contributed to high-speed optical wireless communications, first 1 Gb/s mobile radio experiments, the first real-time trials of LTE and the first coordinated multipoint trials for LTE. Volker is currently leading the Metro-, Access and In-house Systems group working on short-range optical technologies. He serves as chair of the IEEE 802.15.13 task group on Multi-Gbit/s Optical Wireless Communications. Since 2002, Volker is teaching courses on MIMO and Adaptive Transmission at Technical University in Berlin.
Jean-Paul Linnartz, Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Jean-Paul Linnartz is part-time professor in the Signal Processing Systems group (SPS) in the faculty of Electrical Engineering (EE) at TU/e. Within SPS, his focus is on Intelligent Lighting and Wireless Optical Communication. He is Research Fellow at Philips Lighting Research.
In 1991, he received his PhD Cum Laude from Delft University of Technology on the impact of multipath propagation on the performance radio access protocols. His dissertation was published by Artech House as one of the first books on wireless data communications.
In 1992, he joined the University of California at Berkeley as an Assistant Professor. He was principal investigator on California PATH projects for autonomous driving and on the InfoPad project on portable multimedia computing.
In 1995, he joined Philips Research to initiate a research program on security. As a senior director, he headed research groups on information security, on communications and on IC design.
His work is cited more than 10,000 times and he has more than 55 granted patent families. His mostly cited work is the introduction of Multi-Carrier CDMA. He was elected Fellow of the IEEE for his leadership in security with noisy data (electronic watermarks, privacy preserving biometrics, IC hardware security). His research results form the IP basis for three successful spin-out ventures from Philips Research.

Amira received her PhD and M.Sc. from Institute Mines-Telecom (ex. Telecom Paris) majoring in coding theory for communication. Prior to joining Bell Labs, She was a member of the physical layer specification team of the LTE enode-B within Alcatel-Lucent wireless division; contributed in the design of the upper layer forward error correction scheme of the DVB-SH standard within INRIA –Bell Labs joint laboratories; and held research projects and studies in the field of iterative decoding algorithms for graph based codes and turbo codes under grants and tight collaborations with Orange Labs, CNES and UTAH university . Amira served as well in several international companies and research institutions including: Siemens, Citibank, Unesco, Orange Labs, CNES , INRIA, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia Bell Labs. Currently her focus is on the lead and contribution in research projects involving: Unconditional Security using Algebraic Coding for Cloud Services (Access , Storage and Computing), Channel Coding Schemes for Random Access and Transmission of Short Packets for 5G 3GPP Standard and related 5G IOT applications. Her recent scientific collaborations were with Texas A&M University, Ghent University, Kaust University, Inria, USTC China.
Bessem Sayadi, Nokia Bell Labs, France
BESSEM SAYADI is a Research Manager in Nokia Bell-Labs France. He received M.Sc. (00) and Ph.D. (03) degrees in Control and Signal processing from Supélec, Paris-Sud University, with highest distinction. He worked previously as a postdoctoral fellow in the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and as a senior researcher engineer in Orange Labs. He is leading the Next Generation Platform as a Service project funded by EU in 5G-PPP Phase2. He is the technical manager of the Superfluidity project funded by EU in 5G-PPP Phase 1. His main research interests are in the area of Virtualization & Cloudification, Slicing and Multi-tenancy, 5G, Microservice Architecture. Michele Paolino, Virtual Open Systems
Michele Paolino is a virtualization architect with experience in hardware accelerated networking, trusted & safety critical computing, automotive and embedded systems. He holds a Master degree in Computer Engineering from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna with a thesis about virtualization solutions for linux-based heterogeneous SoCs and programmable many core accelerators. Michele Paolino counts several patents filed in US/EU and authored different publications on topics such as FPGA virtualization for microservices, trusted computing platform virtualization, mixed-criticality systems and networking data plane acceleration. He has contributed to open source projects such as libvirt, OPNFV, OpenStack nova and devstack, and gave technical speeches in several worldwide events (e.g., OpenStack, OPNFV and Automotive Grade Linux Summits). Finally, he is currently serving as innovation manager for the H2020 NGPaaS project and he is today leading the worldwide effort to bring virtualization in road vehicles in the context of the Linux Foundation project Automotive Grade Linux (AGL).
Yehuda Naveh, IBM Research, Israel
Yehuda received his B.Sc. in physics and math, M.Sc. in experimental condensed matter physics and Ph.D in theoretical condensed matter physics, all from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. After spending four years at Stony Brook University in New York, Yehuda joined IBM Research - Haifa, Israel, where he was in charge of various activities related to the verification of high-end hardware. Yehuda currently leads the quantum computing activity in the lab, in which the main focus is on simulation and verification of quantum computers as they scale up.

Prof.Dr. Roberto Di Pietro is currently full professor of cyber security at the HBKU College of Science and Engineering, Doha-Qatar, leading the effort to establish a world class research and innovation center in cyber security.
Prior to that, he served as Global Lead for Security Research at Bell Labs from Dec. 2013 to August 2017. In that capacity he has coordinated three Security Research Depts.---based in Paris, Munich, and Espoo---counting 40+ researchers. Besides his position at Nokia Bell Labs, Dr. Roberto Di Pietro was also Professor in Computer Science at University of Padova. Prior to the above assignments, he was a faculty at University of Roma Tre, always dedicated to security research, research mentoring, and innovation. He started his Computer Scientist career back to the 1995, serving for a few years as military technical officer with the Italian MoD, managing complex ICT projects with focus on security.

Markus Dillinger received his Diplom-Ing. degree in telecommunications in 1990 from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. In 1991 he joined the Mobile Network Division at Siemens for development of GSM base stations.
From 1995 on, he was working on the definition of the third mobile radio generation in the European research projects. From 2000 he led Software Defined Radio research activities within the Siemens network division. He was leading several EU research programmes.
From 2005 onwards he was director for mobile broadband solutions and later for enterprise solutions dealing with railway projects.
In 2010 he joined Huawei Germany and was director for enterprise solutions for smart grid.
In 2013 he has joined Huawei European Research Centre as Head of Wireless Internet Technologies where he runs private and public R&D programmes for e.g. car-to-car and automation supporting 3GPP standardization and normative work for the vertical industry.
He is one of the 5GAA initiators and in September 2016 he was appointed as Executive Committee member for the 5GAA. In addition, he is Technical Manager of 5GCar 5GPPP project.

Xavier Costa-Pérez is Head of 5G Networks R&D and Deputy General Manager of the Security and Networking Research Division at NEC Laboratories Europe. His team contributes to products roadmap evolution as well as to European Commission collaborative projects and received several awards for successful technology transfers. In addition, the team contributes to related standardization bodies: 3GPP, ETSI NFV, ETSI MEC, IETF and OPNFV. Xavier is a 5GPPP Technology Board member and the Technical Manager of the 5G-Transformer project. Mikael Fallgren is a Senior Researcher at Ericsson Research, Stockholm, Sweden. He has received a M.Sc. degree in engineering physics and a Ph.D. degree in applied and computational mathematics from KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology), Stockholm, and a B.Sc. degree in business administration from Stockholm University. His research interests include V2X and wireless access networks. In the METIS project he led the work on scenarios and requirements as well as on dissemination and standardization. Jesus Alonso-Zarate, CTTC, Spain
Jesus Alonso-Zarate – PhD, MBA and IEEE Senior Member – received his MSc. (with Honors) and Ph. D (Cum Laude and Best Thesis Award Recognition) degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Spain) in March 2004 and February 2009, respectively. In July 2016, he obtained the MBA from UPC School of Professional and Executive Development. Andreas Kwoczek, VW, Germany
Andreas Kwoczek received his diploma in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1987. He worked on 94 GHz transceivers and antennas with Rheinmetall Forschung and Germania Hochfrequenztechnik. In 1998 he joined Volkswagen and was responsible for the introduction and integration of car antennas. In 2007 he moved to Volkswagen Group Research and was responsible for the car-to-car communication hardware and evolving communication technologies. He participated in various national and international projects. Since 2012 he is heading the group responsible for digital maps, positioning and communication. Since 2014 the responsibility included future communications systems i.e. 5G. From January 2017 onwards he is heading the research group for cooperative systems and communication technologies. His research interests are communication systems, antennas and transceivers in the frequency range from Sub-GHz to THz.

He received the PhD degree (Dr.-Ing.) in communication engineering on the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem in OFDM with distinction (summa cum laude) in 2003 from TU Berlin and became a research group leader at the Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut in Berlin. In 2007, he also received the habilitation degree (venia legendi) and became a Privatdozent (Associate Professor) at the TU Berlin in the field of detection/estimation theory, stochastic processes and information theory. Very recently, he has become Heisenberg Fellow, granted for the first time to a communication engineer, and heads now the Heisenberg Communications and Information Theory Group at the FU Berlin.

Iñaki Val (Member IEEE) received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Electronics Engineering at Mondragon University (Spain) in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunication at Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain) in 2011. Since 2001 he is a researcher in the Communications Dpt. of IK4-IKERLAN research center and in the past he has been working in the Fraunhofer IIS of Erlangen (Germany) as invited researcher for two years (2005-2006). Nigel Jefferies is a senior standards manager with Huawei Technologies and Chairman of the Wireless World Research Forum, a global partnership between industry and academia to develop a research agenda for mobile communications. Previously he was Head of Academic Relationships within Vodafone Group Research & Development and a Principal Mathematician at Racal Research Ltd. In the past he led the European-funded IST project SHAMAN, which studied the security of future mobile systems, and ran the Secure Applications Steering Group for Mobile VCE. Other collaborative research projects on various aspects of security for mobile communications include 3GS3 in the UK-funded LINK programme, and ASPeCT and USECA in the European ACTS program. His research interests include cryptography, security and applications of mathematics to telecommunications. He received a PhD from Goldsmith's College, London, and an MA in mathematics from the Queen's College, Oxford. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and a Chartered Mathematician.

Vino is one of Canada’s leading experts in the mobile radio industry with more than 40 years of experience ranging from spectrum engineering, standards development, new wireless services and satellite communication. He is also a very active member of Wireless World Research Forum. He has worked both in government as well as private industry. He worked for over 10 years for Ontario Government and over 16 years for Bell Mobility. Currently he is Adjunct Professor, Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy, McMaster University. Knud Erik Skouby is professor and director of center for Communication, Media and Information technologies, Aalborg University-Copenhagen. His working areas have for the last 25 years been within the telecom area focusing on mobile/ wireless: Techno-economic Analyses; Development of mobile/ wireless applications and services: Regulation of telecommunications. Project manager and partner in a number of international, European and Danish research projects, he has also served on a number of public committees within telecom, IT and broadcasting; as a member of boards of professional societies; as a member of organizing boards, evaluation committees and as invited speaker on international conferences; published a number of Danish and international articles, books and conference proceedings in the areas of convergence, mobile/ wireless development, telecommunications regulation, technology assessment (information technology and telecommunications), demand forecasting and political economy. He is also co-director of CTIF-International, Chair of WG1 in Wireless World Research Forum, and Special Advisor to GISFI (The Global ICT Standardization Forum for India).
Miquel Payaró, CTTC
Miquel is a senior researcher and the Head of the Communications Technologies Division at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC). Miquel has led and participated in several research contracts with the industry as well as in research projects from the Seventh Framework Program and H2020 of the EC. For example, until June 2017, Miquel served as Technical Manager of the 5G PPP Flex5Gware project, where key building blocks for flexible, reconfigurable HW/SW communication platforms for 5G mobile services were prototyped. Miquel is serving as Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications and has been Guest Editor of the Trans. on Emerging Telecommunication Technologies Special Issue on “Enabling 5G: energy and spectrally efficient communication systems.” He has also served as part of the Organizing Committee of EUSIPCO 2011, European Wireless 2014, ICASSP 2020 and has been TPC Chair of CLEEN 2017. He has organized special sessions and workshops related to 5G in conferences like ICC, Globecom and EuCNC.

Richard Elelman is currently Head of Public Administration Projects, at the CTM Centre Tecnològic de Manresa, (2011- ) and founder and Director General of the Network for Water in European Regions and Cities, NETWERC H2O. He is the Coordinator with Kees van Leeuwen of the EIP Water Action Group: CITY BLUEPRINTS. The former Deputy Mayor of Figueres in Spain (2007-11), he is a political analyst of proven experience who has, in recent years, specialised in Environmental and Scientific Policy analysis and the links between Public Administrations and the world of Research and Development. He has worked in collaboration with public authorities in many different countries and is a regular speaker at numerous international conferences on local authorities, water, energy and public transport. Responsible for creating the first public electric bus line in Spain, a former member of the executive of Energy-Cities, he has received a number of awards including the CILMA Award for the Best Environmental Policy of 2009, the Medal of Excellence of the City of Saint Petersburg (Florida) for the creation of the Figueres International Environmental Conference and La Agencia Local de Energia de Figueres (ALEF) and the Network@22 John Shields Award in 2011 for his founding of the CODIM project.

Viktoria Sukenik, ITU-T Study Group 5 Chair, Argentina
Ms. Victoria Sukenik got a degree in International Relations and also completed a Master's Degree in International Economic Relations, at the University of Buenos Aires; and a Postgraduate in Governance and Institutional Development at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain. She first worked in the private sector and, since 2004, she is with the Public Administration of the Argentine Republic. She initiated her work first in the Ministry of Economy to later join, in 2006, as advisor in international affairs in telecommunications, ICT, satellite and postal services, in the former Secretary of Communications. Currently, Ms. Sukenik works at the Ministry of Modernization, Secretary of Information and Communication Technologies where she represents Argentina in international and regional meetings (ITU, CITEL, UNASUR, MERCOSUR, among others). During WTSA-16 she has been appointed as ITU-T Study Group 5 Chairman, for the period 2017-2020. And in 2017, as Vice Chairman of the Initiative “United for Smart Sustainable Cities” (U4SSC). From January to July 2017, Victoria participated in the Regulatory Experience Program of the State Secretariat for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda of Spain.
Alain Staron, Veolia, France
Alain joined Veolia in 2015 to manage the digital transformation of the company. He has more than 30 years of experience in Smart Things, Urban Mobility, Artificial Intelligence, Media, Telecom and Internet sectors, where he served as Managing Director, Marketing VP, Business Development VP and R&D manager in large corporations as well as start-up companies. Alain launched several innovative businesses for large corporations including OpenTV (a venture between Thomson and Sun Microsystem), TPS Interactive (a subsidiary of TF1 dedicated to new media), Urban Pulse (the most comprehensive real-time city guide on mobile for Transdev) and contributed to other technological ventures for companies like Thales, France Telecom, Sagem. He created, developed and marketed a number of innovative products and services, including, with his own start-up, an innovative technology allowing for real people to merge with virtual worlds. He received two prizes for innovative products and wrote over 15 patents. Alain is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, received an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Télécommunications, and holds a PhD in Signal Processing.
Diego Lopez, Telefonica, Spain
Dr. Diego R. Lopez joined Telefonica I+D in 2011 as a Senior Technology Expert on network middleware and services. He is currently in charge of the Technology Exploration activities within the GCTO Unit of Telefónica I+D. Before joining Telefónica he spent some years in the academic sector, dedicated to research on network service abstractions and the development of APIs based on them. During this period he was appointed as member of the High Level Expert Group on Scientific Data Infrastructures by the European Commission. Diego is currently focused on identifying and evaluating new opportunities in technologies applicable to network infrastructures, and the coordination of national and international collaboration activities. His current interests are related to network virtualization, infrastructural services, network mamagement, new network architectures, and network security. Diego is actively participating in the ETSI ISG on Network Function Virtualization (chairing its Technical Steering Committee), the ONF, and the IETF WGs connected to these activities, acting as co-chair of the NFVRG within the IRTF.

Dr. Valerio Frascolla is director of research and innovation at Intel Deutschland and serves as coach and mentor in company-related actions as well as in European research projects (Fashion Fusion, WEARSustain). He holds an MSc and a PhD in Electronic Engineering and had been working in different roles at Ancona University, Comneon, and Infineon. Valerio has expertise in mobile terminals concept engineering, requirements management, standards bodies attendance (3GPP and ETSI), program management, and acts as facilitator of innovation activities using agile methodologies. His main research interest is 5G system design, with focus on spectrum management, mmWaves and MEC technologies. Valerio currently participates to several international research projects serving as consortium lead for business, standardization and exploitation matters and in that role has organized several special session, workshops and panels at international conferences (VTC, EUCNC, EUCAP, EUSIPCO, COCORA, EWSN, ISWCS).
Claudio Paoloni, Lancaster University, UK
Claudio Paoloni received the degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “Sapienza”, Rome, Italy, in 1984. Since 2012, he has been a Professor of Electronics with the Department of Engineering, Lancaster University, Lancaster, U.K. Since 2015, he has been the Head of Engineering Department. He is author of more than 200 publications. He is coordinator of the European Commission Horizon 2020 project TWEETHER “Traveling wave tube based W-band wireless network for high data rate, distribution, spectrum and energy efficiency and Horizon 2020 ULTRAWAVE project “Ultra-capacity wireless layer beyond 100 GHz based on millimeter wave Traveling Wave Tubes” for millimetre waves high capacity wireless networks. His research fields are millimetre wave vacuum electronics devices and applications. He is IEEE Senior Member. He is Chair of the IEEE Electron Device Society Vacuum Electronics Technical Committee.

Dr. Emilio Calvanese Strinati obtained his Engineering Master degree in 2001 from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and his Ph.D in Engineering Science in 2005 on Radio link control for improving the QoS of wireless packet transmission. Since December 2016 he is the Smart Devices & Telecommunications Scientific and Innovation Director. Since 2018 he holds the French Research Director Habilitation (HDR). E. Calvanese Strinati has published around 100 papers in international conferences, journals and books chapters, given more than 50 international invited talks and keynotes and is the main inventor or co-inventor of more than 60 patents. He has organized more than 50 international conferences, workshops, panels and special sessions on green communications, heterogeneous networks and cloud computing hosted in international conferences as IEEE GLOBCOM, IEEE PIMRC, IEEE WCNC, IEEE VTC, EuCnC, IFIP, and European Wireless.

Debora Gentina joined Huawei Technologies in 2007 as Senior Marketing Manager. Within the European Microwave Group she is responsible for 5G microwave and millimeterwave market strategy. After graduating in Electronic Engineering, she has been working in the microwave field for many years in Siemens, Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent before joining Huawei, covering several roles from system architecture to product strategy and marketing. Moreover, she is speaker and panelist in Global Telecom Exhibitions, Market Trade-shows and Events. In ETSI ISG mWT she is Rapporteur of the work item WI#8 related to the bands above 90 GHz.
Maziar Nekovee, University of Sussex, UK
Maziar Nekovee is Professor of Telecoms and Mobile Technology an Head of Department Engineering and Design at University of Sussex, UK. His current research focuses on 5G and beyond-5G Mobile Communications, AI for Telecommunication Networks and radio spectrum auctions. Prior to his current post he was from 2013 to 2017 he was with Samsung R&D, where he led Samsung’s European Research and Collaborations in 5G. Prior to joining Samsung he was from 2201-20013 with BT (British Telecom) Research and Innovation. Maziar has a PhD in Physics from University of Nijmegen and a 1st degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands. He is the author of over 100 papers, one book and 13 patents.
Alpaslan Demir, InterDigital, UK
Alpaslan Demir has over 20 years of industry experience in Wireless Communications, particularly in innovation and development of next generation cellular standards. He is with InterDigital Innovation Labs as a principal engineer. His current tasks involve 5G and Beyond technology generation and platform development. Alpaslan has 65 granted U.S. patents to date and holds PhD degree in Communications from NYU.

Dr. Christos VERIKOUKIS got his Ph.D. from the UPC in 2000. He is currently a Fellow Researcher at CTTC (Head of the SMARTECH department) and an adjunct professor at Barcelona University. He has published 118 journal and over 180 conference papers. He is also co-author in 3 books and he filled 3 patents. He has received best paper awards in 5 conferences. He is currently the Chair of the IEEE CSIM Technical Committee.
